Marketing Manager

Oversee the execution of marketing initiatives across the company portfolio

and review positioning strategies for new and existing products within operating budgets to ensure that market share and revenue goals for the business are met.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Define and communicate the overarching marketing strategy, aligned with long-term business objectives and brand positioning.
  • Lead customer insight and product positioning activities across patient, prescriber and channel segments.
  • Manage business performance across the brand portfolio against annual sales, revenue and profitability targets.
  • Lead relationships with key customers, key opinion leaders, advocacy groups, licensing partners and healthcare organisations.
  • Ensure marketing activities are integrated cross-functionally and comply with applicable local regulations.

Marketing Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Recommend the marketing strategy for Clinigen (Link Healthcare) and its brands, including product mix, targets, focus segments and pricing, based on business priorities, market intelligence and past performance.
  • Allocate budget across marketing initiatives to direct resources towards activities that drive company growth.
  • Identify and propose new product introductions and create launch strategies.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Development, Regulatory and other departments to integrate marketing strategies with business goals and operational plans.
  • Analyse marketing performance metrics, market trends, consumer behaviour and competitor activity, adjusting strategies as required.
  • Design brand marketing guidelines and plans to support sales and profitability targets.
  • Communicate marketing strategy, performance and insights to senior executives and external stakeholders.
  • Lead market development initiatives and track new launches and market developments nationally and internationally.
  • Assess risks associated with marketing initiatives and develop contingency plans.

Customer Insights, Positioning & Promotion

  • Lead primary research across patient segments and indications to gather customer feedback aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Finalise product positioning strategies and identify distinct customer segments for each offering.
  • Identify communication differences required for General Practitioners, Specialists and Pharmacists, and initiate discussions with agencies.
  • Conduct regular field visits to assess implementation of marketing strategies and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Engage with the medico-marketing team to align promotion with positioning and business goals.
  • Establish key performance indicators for positioning and promotion strategies and adjust based on market response.
  • Encourage continuous improvement and adaptation based on feedback and market trends.

Business Performance & Forecasting

  • Conduct monthly business reviews covering SKU trends, regional performance, market dynamics, competitor activity, USPs, campaign effectiveness, communications, fieldwork insights and KOL feedback.
  • Review forecasts monthly and propose strategic adjustments to marketing plans based on observed insights and trends.
  • Identify and implement relevant best practices from other regions to improve marketing effectiveness and business performance.

Stakeholder, KOL & Partner Management

  • Establish and maintain communication with KOLs and relevant healthcare organisations to monitor significant developments.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key members of licensing partners.
  • Organise roundtables and advisory board meetings to understand market developments and plan the way forward.
  • Work closely with the sales team to resolve issues, escalating complex matters to senior management where required.
  • Oversee conferences and events for the therapeutic segment, ensuring brand guidelines are followed.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate relationship management and marketing initiatives against business goals.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences or a related field. An MBA or Master's in Business is preferred.
8-10 years of sales and marketing experience in a pharmaceutical organisation.
Proven ability to manage teams, ideally with 3-5 years in a managerial role.
Analytical skills, digital channel management and execution, strategic communication, decision-making, problem-solving, leadership and people management.
Proficiency in analysing data to inform decisions, track market trends and identify growth opportunities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders, including presentations and reports.
