Media Merchants was founded in 1999 by James Fitzgerald in a small office located in Stones Corner, Brisbane. Leaving his Sales Manager role in Sydney at Network Ten, James sought to create a new media agency offering, focused on results driven advertising solutions for clients needing immediate and tangible outcomes.

Later in 1999, Michael Gee joined MM to expand it’s service offering to include Creative, Print, TVCs and Digital.

The business quickly grew and in 2003 Justine Butler joined MM, and was instrumental in the growth, development and sophistication of the Media department.

Over the years, the business and team have grown, but the founding agency values of honesty, integrity and transparency remain a vital pillar of the agency today, in addition to dedicated passion for our clients and industry partners.
