We are excited to begin the search for our next Strategy Director to join our team at iPro in Melbourne.

The Strategy Director role is intended to continue your growth and career in a strategic leadership-based role within the media industry. Within this role you will be enabled to further your development with respect to both media strategy development, and client engagement, across a variety of verticals.

The scope of this role presents the opportunity to continue your exposure to all facets of media strategy and planning, using channels both online and offline to help solve for our clients’ business challenges.

What your typical day will look like:

  • Produce key strategic outcomes from diagnosis, audience recommendations and insights and comms frameworks with light guidance from senior support
  • Work with the client and investment teams to ensure that the strategic platform developed is carried through to the media plan
  • Leading strategic process & coordinating + working tightly with client teams
  • Research and data analysis with strategic recommendations
  • Actively contribute to agency thought leadership on the direction of senior team members
  • Identification and development of award-worthy work from the inception of the strategic response

Your immediate responsibilities will include the development of our clients’ strategic direction, the co-ownership of our relationship with our clients, and the development of our agency capabilities and training in the Media Strategy space.

A bit about you:

  • Strong understanding of the categories in your client portfolio
  • Breadth of knowledge across a range of consumer segments
  • High level of competency in tools and systems used to identify actionable consumer insights and trends as part of the strategic process
  • Strong organisational ability with a process-driven style
  • Pro-active in following up on opportunities and a growth mindset
  • Excellent grasp of behavioral theory and planning theory
  • Proven success with enterprise-level account servicing

As the Strategy Director, you will lead the day-to-day campaign strategies of some of our key accounts, with additional opportunities to coach and mentor a team member. Reporting to the Group Strategy Director this is an excellent career opportunity and will offer collaboration with the Chief Strategy Officer and the Managing Directors for iPro VIC and NSW.
