Product Manager, Digital Archive
Company Description
Nine is Australia’s largest locally owned media company. Working at Nine, you’ll have access to a unique range of experiences and opportunities, helping drive the success of the country’s most trusted television, radio, digital and publishing brands.
Our content reaches almost every Australian - meaning what we do has real impact. We bring people together, celebrate the big moments, and capture the everyday ones.
Some of our most beloved brands have been part of Australian life for generations, and others - new on the scene - have already found their place firmly in our lives. We’re evolving and we need people like you to bring new ideas, innovate and make your mark.
Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to drive the transition of Nine’s historical assets into a modern, AI-driven digital ecosystem. As a Product Manager, you will be at the heart of a once-in-a-generation project to digitise and productise Australia’s most significant media archive. You will work at the intersection of legacy content and future-forward technology, uncovering commercial "value pools" and building the tools that make our history accessible to internal creators and new global markets.
Day to day you will:
- Take ownership of the Digital Archive roadmap, turning high-level strategy into actionable features and consistent delivery.
- Conduct deep-dive research into user personas and "willingness to pay" to help unlock new B2B and B2C revenue streams.
- Collaborate daily with Engineering and Data Science teams to build AI-powered capabilities and technical solutions that solve real user problems.
- Run data-driven experiments to improve content discoverability, testing how automated metadata and search enhancements impact user engagement.
- Act as a key connector between departments, facilitating "Showcase" presentations and workshops to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
- 4-6+ years in digital product management, ideally within media, B2B SaaS, or content-heavy consumer products.
- Experience working with large datasets, content management systems, or Media Asset Management (MAM) tools.
- A strong interest in (or experience with) how AI/ML can be applied to content tagging, search, and automation.
- The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear updates for stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- A rigorous, user-centric approach to product development, using data and customer insights to find product-market fit.
