About the Role

Apical is seeking a commercially driven Marketing Trader to execute sales and marketing strategies across assigned markets and products. The role focuses on:

  • Driving volumes and margins
  • Managing key customer relationships
  • Identifying growth opportunities
  • Providing market intelligence to support trading decisions
  • Exposure to risk management concepts is a plus

What You Will Do

  • Execute trading and marketing strategies to meet volume, margin, and growth targets
  • Build and grow relationships with customers, distributors, and partners
  • Identify new commercial opportunities and negotiate pricing and contract terms
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and supply–demand dynamics
  • Collaborate with HQ, production, logistics, and marketing teams on go-to-market plans
  • Provide timely market insights to support commercial decision-making
  • (Good to have) Apply basic risk management concepts such as exposure, hedging, and counterparty assessment

What We Look For

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 8–10 years’ experience in commodities trading/marketing, ideally palm or agri-commodities
  • Strong commercial acumen and relationship management skills
  • Good analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with palm markets preferred; risk management exposure is an advantage
