Entertainment Producer

Mamamia is on the lookout for an Entertainment Producer to join our best-in-class editorial team.

But first, here's a bit about us.

Mamamia is Australia's largest women's media company.

Our core purpose is to make the world a better place for women and girls. That's what guides everything we do. And, uh, we do a lot. Mamamia reaches seven million women each month across our written, video, audio, and social platforms and we have the largest women's podcast network in the world.

What we're looking for.

Mamamia's Entertainment Producer is a pop culture obsessive who is neck-deep in everything entertainment. From reality TV to local and international celebrity news, your role will be to pitch and report on original stories, interview celebrities both on and off camera and produce written and social content true to the Mamamia tone, for our highly engaged audiences.

  • Pitch and write stories both on a daily basis and for future key dates and events working to a content calendar.
  • Keep across breaking entertainment news and topics.
  • Research, conduct interviews and build strong relationships with key contacts to generate a steady flow of quality stories for the site, podcasts and social channels.
  • Report accurately, fact check and reach out to sources to verify content
  • Write engaging headlines and social sells in the Mamamia tone.
  • Load posts, source and select relevant images, video and podcast content and related links.
  • Use data and metrics to inform pitching and have a finger on the pulse for what women are talking about.

Life at Mamamia.

We're fast-paced, innovative, and deeply collaborative. Mamamia feels small enough that you can create real and tangible change, but has the structure to support your ideas with experienced and industry-leading teams, and deliver them to an audience of millions of women every month.

We have a startup spirit within a scaled-up business structure and we're incredibly proud of the culture and community we've created. Our team is inclusive, passionate, and fun (..although apparently, not very modest about it); many lifelong friendships and connections have been forged in Mamamia HQ.

But enough about us, let's talk about how we can help you. At Mamamia, we want to support all of our staff in kicking as many career goals as possible so that's why we'll support you in getting involved in the things you're actually interested in. Think you might want to broaden your scope? Get exposure to another team in the business? Try something new and develop your skills? We'll help you make it happen and cheer you on the whole way.

On top of all that, Mamamia also offers:

  • Flexible working conditions
  • The opportunity to celebrate your birthday and ongoing dedication with additional leave days
  • Paid parental leave
  • Paid volunteer leave to get involved with our charity partners
  • The opportunity to work for a purpose-driven company and help us make the world a better place for women and girls.

One more thing!

Mamamia is an equal opportunity employer, all applicants will be considered regardless of your race, sexuality, religion, colour, gender identity, or parental status. We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply.
