About the Role
We’re looking for a smart, high-energy intern who lives and breathes creativity. Someone who can transform HR stories, milestones and people moments into visually stunning online magazine-style content. If you’re the type who knows the latest design apps before they trend on TikTok, who has run your school or university magazine/newsletter or who loves creating digital content that looks better than corporate, we want you. This is a unique opportunity to shape the first-ever creative online newsletters and communication channels for our company and influence the tone, identity and design direction.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Creative Design & Content Layout
Design a monthly online HR newsletter with a magazine-style aesthetic
Develop visual layouts, graphic elements, templates and typographic styles
Use creative platforms such as Canva, Figma, Adobe Express, CapCut, InDesign, or similar tools - Content Creation & Storytelling
Translate HR and business updates, people stories, celebrations, events and recognition moments into engaging, visually rich content
Help craft short, upbeat copy for features, highlights and spotlights
Curate images, videos and visuals to bring stories to life - Platform Expertise & Innovation
Recommend the best digital design platforms for our online magazine format
Experiment with new tools, layouts and interactive features
Keep the team updated on creative trends, visual styles and formats - Collaboration & Delivery
Work closely with the VP Talent Management and HR team to gather content
Participate in brainstorming sessions for themes, cover stories and design ideas
Manage weekly deadlines and ensure smooth delivery of each issue
Who You Are (Must-Have Traits)
- Creative to the core – strong aesthetic sense, design instinct and eye for detail
- High energy, upbeat and positive – you bring enthusiasm and fun into every task
- Digitally fluent – familiar with multiple design tools and willing to experiment
- A natural communicator – able to turn information into engaging, visual stories
- Organized & proactive – you take ownership, manage timelines and deliver
- Comfortable working with HR and corporate stakeholders
Preferred Background
- Former or current editor, designer or contributor to school/college magazines, newsletters or creative clubs
- Experience in digital content creation (student media, clubs, social media design, projects)
- Have Portfolio or samples of design work (even personal passion projects)
- Currently a student or recent graduate in:
Communications
Media/Design
Marketing
Digital Arts
Journalism
Or any creative field
