Client Director 

The purpose of this role is to provide strategic recommendations and manage all resources to ensure the Client’s marketing needs are met. They are viewed as a trusted advisor to client, understands and articulates client business insights and leverages to contribute ways to move business forward, lead and monitor the day-to-day activities; proactively identify new business building insights and opportunities, manage, motivate and develop their team; work with other departments to develop and execute strategies that will build the Client’s business.

We now have an excellent opportunity to join our team in Sydney as a Client Director working with our largest client in Australia! This is an excellent opportunity to drive results with a true partnership focus, to be part of the leadership for the largest campaign budget for Carat Australia, and to really drive your career progression towards more senior Client Director opportunities, or laterally across our extensive team.

What your typical day will look like:

As the Client Director you will manage the day-to-day senior client relationships and the overall team performance. You will lead the patch, keep the team motivated and your clients engaged. This is an opportunity to show your skill across full Audience Segmentation, plan holistically across both Owned & Paid Assets, and be part of the success of our largest national account. It is a role that requires an expert level of understanding of the media industry and a comprehensive understanding of channel mix, an excellent knowledge of the media landscape particularly for large enterprise, and business nouse.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Be the day-to-day point of contact for your key stakeholders. The Director is the first escalation point to ensure the smooth running of the account
  • Manage brand and performance campaigns for your portfolio of brands
  • Ensure the quality control of all client deliverables
  • Proactively maintain client agency partnership engagement
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of the categories in client portfolio and provide best in class recommendations
  • Ensures access to the right discipline and level of service within the group
  • Is responsible for the connectivity, consistency and timely delivery of the components of the response to brief including; strategy, comms planning and investment and optimization
  • Identification of organic growth opportunities and play a support role in new business as required

  • You're a natural leader & are passionate about engaging, retaining and developing up-and-coming talent within the media industry, nurturing your teams' growth and development
  • Strong leadership skills and experience working across all media channels in a range of different categories
  • An experienced channel planner and critical thinker, who works collaboratively with other team members
  • You are innovative and creative, eager to explore new ways of thinking and moving quickly in a fast paced, changing industry
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable managing all levels of stakeholders and providing first class client service
  • You have a genuine curiosity and interest in MMM and strategic planning with the desire to push the limits for your clients
