Associate Digital Director

The purpose of the Associate Digital Investment Director is to manage the daily operation of the digital team, oversee the brand partnerships for direct digital investment and co-ordinate the strategy for all pure play digital channels including video, social, display, audio, programmatic OOH and search.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be well-versed in all digital channels, with an understanding of how paid digital works with owned and earned media, and its alignment with traditional media
  • Able to articulate the role of each channel, how they are able to bring the strategy to life and meet client business objectives. By using your extensive digital landscape knowledge, past campaign learnings and research, you have the ability to justify implementation and investment recommendations.
  • Proven experience managing teams, juggling multiple high level projects at one time, researching and justifying partner selection and developing and negotiating multi-faceted media and marketing partnerships
  • Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively with other Investment disciplines and with client team leaders in Strategy, Communications Design and SBUs to create Partner recommendations that deliver on client strategic goals and business objectives
  • Oversee and mentor the digital community servicing their client portfolio, managing, and bringing together the specialist expertise of each of the SBUs and external publishers to provide digital leadership to the team internally and make sure we present a cohesive, single digital POV to the client
  • Apply knowledge and expertise of the overall digital landscape and the client’s business needs to ensure the quality and relevance of our digital advice and planning and provide the final point of review and QA for all digital products going across from Initiative or its SBU’s to our clients.
  • You are to be a knowledgeable on short, medium and long term changes in the digital landscape. You should continually be immersed in the “what’s happening”, proactively bringing insights on changes, innovation and potential pitfalls to their internal team and to the client to ensure we are prepared to take on any challenges as well as take advantage of opportunities that are relevant to the business.
  • Build strong relationships with our internal SBU’s, and be well-versed in the full range of out-of-scope digital offerings they provide, working with the CAM team to surface these as relevant to drive additional revenue for our business, and solve challenges for the client.

Qualifications, Skills and Capability

  • 5+ years of agency experience in digital planning and investment and experience in successful management of staff
  • Excellent understanding of media across all online disciplines -understanding of offline channels will be beneficial but not necessary- and how to apply it to deliver optimal client solutions.
  • Exceptional media relationships at Sales Director levels to deliver a competitive advantage to our clients
  • Working knowledge and implementation of CM360, IAS and/or Double Verify – how to build tags, troubleshoot campaigns and maximise reporting outputs
  • Thorough understanding of Ad platforms used within biddable environments, inclusive of DV360, SA360, The Trade Desk, Yahoo, Meta, TikTok and Snapchat.
  • Detailed awareness of client business issues, industry trends, consumer trends, promotional resources, market status, and competition (Asteroid, Nielsen Content Rating, SimilarWeb, AQX, iPSOS…)
  • Familiarity with 1st Party Data & Audiences and Analytics platforms (DMPs, CDPs, GA, Adobe Analytics…) and the role of each platform/usecase.
  • Solid understanding of media data sources in terms of what is measured, the method, and information reported and the ability to provide the curation of valuable insights.
  • Lead by example and play an active role in cultivating the culture of Initiative.
  • Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
