Job Description
CapitaLand Development (CLD) is building a lean, high-impact AI and Digital team. The AI and Digital Tech Lead will be the technical backbone of this team, working alongside the innovation lead and data analyst/scientist to deliver our AI strategy and digital initiatives, and be the primary liaison with the Digital and Technology Team.
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership and Architecture
Own solution architecture across all AI and digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with CLD's AI/digital strategy and adherence to enterprise best practices. Evaluate and select tools, platforms and APIs across the AI/data stack, and make defensible, commercially grounded recommendations on build-vs-buy-vs-leverage recommendations. Review and enforce technical standards, integration patterns and data governance practices across CLD’s digital projects in coordination with CLI Architecture Review Board (ARB). Mentor and develop junior data analyst/scientist, providing technical guidance, code review and structured development pathways. Direct and support project submissions to Architecture Review Board (ARB) with well-reasoned technical proposals and risk assessments. Consider architecture broadly across execution environment, operations architecture and DevOps for all projects and products. Lead vendor and product evaluations identifying best-fit solutions for CLD’s adoption. - Tech Liaison
Serve as CLD’s primary technical point of contact, navigating ecosystem shared data infrastructure, enterprise system access and cross-entity governance protocols. Coordinate API integrations, data pipeline access, and system onboarding with digital and technology team. Represent CLD’s technical requirements in cross-entity forums, translating business needs into actionable technical briefs. - AI & Automation Delivery
Lead end-to-end delivery of AI, automation and data/digital products, from requirement scoping to deployment and iteration. Design and maintain the integration layer connecting CLD’s AI tools with internal workflows and data sources. Oversee development of dashboards, analytics tools, and process automation using Microsoft Power Platform, Python and cloud-based AI services. Drive the rollout of citizen developer program, including tooling selection, governance guardrails and support required. - Strategy and Governance
Advise on technology decisions in plan, business-oriented language, enabling informed governance and investment choices. Prepare technical inputs for the AI Steering Committee, including architecture updates, solution assessments and progress, etc. Identify emerging technologies relevant to real estate development and assess their commercial applicability for CLD. Establish, advocate and enforce CLD’s IT policy direction, taking reference from CLI IT policies and determining policy position of best-fit for CLD. Be responsible for fronting audits of applications and systems that are primarily supporting CLD requirements.
Qualifications
Essential
Minimum 10 years of experience in technology roles, with at least 3 years in a senior, lead or architectural capacity. Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing projects and programs in digital and technology in the capacity of a project manager, program manager or product manager. Demonstrated experience designing and delivering solutions across cloud platforms, APIs and data infrastructure. Prior exposure to enterprise AI/ML platforms, LLM APIs, or automation tools. Strong business communication skills, and able to brief senior non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.
Highly Preferred
Background in technology consulting, with exposure to enterprise digital transformation programs. Experience working with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, or Microsoft Fabric. Familiarity with real estate, asset management, financial services or property development business models. Knowledge of enterprise data governance, including data classification, access control and compliance frameworks.
