About the role

Join Are Media's Advertising Sales Team as our Consortium Agency Lead! This is
more than just a sales role, it's your opportunity to lead and grow a high-value
agency portfolio, build strong connections across Sydney's dynamic media and
agency network while representing some of Australia's most iconic brands in
media.

You'll own and grow key relationships and build strategic partnerships with
major agencies that unlock new commercial opportunities, and connect agencies
with premium, trusted brands that deliver real results for clients and Are
Media.

Duties

  • Manage and grow relationships with assigned advertising agencies
  • Develop and present tailored advertising solutions and campaign proposals
  • Negotiate rates, terms, and campaign specifications with agency partners
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless campaign execution
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reporting to agencies
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing agency relationships
  • Attend industry events and maintain market awareness of advertising trends
  • Meet monthly and quarterly revenue targets

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in advertising sales or agency account management
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing a team
  • Strong understanding of media planning and buying processes
  • Strong understanding of digital and traditional advertising channels, and
    leveraging first party data
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and growing accounts
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
  • Experience with magazine or lifestyle media brands advantageous
