About the role

The Account Manager is primarily responsible for the management of relationships with clients. As a main point of contact for Are Media clients, the Account Manager coordinates the resources needed to advertising campaigns and projects, builds strategic operational plans and balances the expectations of clients with the execution of creative work. The role also takes the lead on the account ensuring that all possible commercial opportunities including content distribution are being pursued both internally and externally.

Duties

  • Responsible for a designated agency/agencies and ensure budget target is achieved or exceeded
  • Responsible for being the liaison between agency and brand and commercial solutions.
  • Sound working relationships are maintained with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage effective conversion of pipeline opportunities
  • Present (where appropriate) advertising and promotional solutions that meet the needs and expectations of the agency/client, whilst appropriately representing each of the Brands included
  • Tailor opportunities for client portfolio in conjunction with brand teams
  • Presenting, negotiating and closing Are Media solutions with clients.

Skills and experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role working with agencies.
  • Able to manage multi-disciplinary tasks and achieve deadlines, often in a difficult and complex environment.
  • Highly focussed, results oriented and achieves targets and goals.
  • Strong enthusiasm for media and advertising demonstrated through understanding and knowledge of media market
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively negotiate with both internal and external groups.
  • Strong client and agency relationships
  • Digital and Magazine Sales skills and knowledge
